Don't panic, it's not a panic attack!

It was years ago that I had my first real panic attack and knew that that was what it actually was. When I have one, even to this day, I get butterflies in my stomach, I tend to get diarrhea (sorry to be graphic but that is my main symptom) which then leads to the cause of my panic .... I would much rather stay at home for fear of embarrassing myself, having to go to the toilet in public (because no one does that do they - see irrational fear!), or being stuck in the car and needing to go to the toilet (which does happen but of course I have never had an accident - which is another fear). When having a panic attack, I let the people around me know by telling them "I'm feeling sick", it's kind of my code word!

But in the last few months I have noticed something different, a key, a clue to some of my panic attacks. So I started my own little experiment to see if I could be right and then of course I saw my Doctor and presented my evidence.

It turns out now, that after all this time, I have figured out that even though I am not Coeliac, I do in fact have an intolerance to wheat. Because wheat is a main staple in ones diet, especially mine, this would then lead to bloating, an upset belly and then of course, the immediate need to go to the loo - which drum roll please, would activate said panic attacks!

Since I have discovered this little key, I can say that I still suffer from the occasional panic attack but I have diminished them by 3/4's!! I even managed a three hour drive to Echuca the
other week, with no medication for my panic attacks and no Imodium (to stop you know what!).

I am still on the path of discovery, one step at a time. What things I can eat and how much (for instance I know I can have a bowl of pasta for dinner but if I have the leftovers for lunch the next day, I am in strife). I am trying to find a bread that I can eat, that is my goal at the moment.

Does anyone know of a good bread or of anything else good to eat?

Meet Tyson

The weather here in Melbourne has been extremely miserable, black clouds, lots of rain and definately no sun! Yesterday, the sun appeared for enough time for me to take some beautiful shots of Tyson. There were no smiles from him, but he was however one of the most content little babies I have met, no cries whatsoever (even when I did put him into a bowl that he was a bit too big for!).

Tyson loved to munch on his fingers and hands, pretty much for the hole shoot. I didn't care though, my photos show children as who they were at that point in time, whether it be muching on hands, chewing their toes, bright red cheeks from teething, yawning and even crying.... these are the photos that are unique!

*Thanks Stacey for bringing Tyson out in the cold, rain! I hope you find some images that you love and will treasure (even though there were no smiles, cheeky boy!).

*And a big thanks to my Mum, for letting me use her place to do the shoot! Only one more sleep until I am back in my home and new bed officially!

Important Announcement

I started this Blog in early November last year and this is my 62nd post! At the start, I was a little bit apprehensive about starting a Blog, but after finally deciding to just do it, I have loved every minute of it!

I have blogged with the photos I have taken of my beautiful girl, my life and the people who have let me take photos of them pregnant, of their precious babies, children and of their families. With my panic attacks, I have had to often step out of my comfort zone in order to photograph, go to new places, talk to people I have never met and all this on top of controlling I the things I need to in my camera in order to get a beautiful shot. This has been good for me.

When I started this Blog, I had not long had my camera, was doing some short courses on learning how to use it and trying to learn and develop as much as I could. I look back to the start of this Blog now and see how far I have come, and also see how much better I can still be! I have had many people trust me along the way to take their photos, and I can not say how much I have appreciated their support and encouragement.

So with all this being said....on to the important annouoncement....my Blog will still be here but I will no longer be posting here. My sister and I, after discussions, lots of reading, courses, practise and more learning, we have decided to join forces under one big beautiful umbrella. This is going to take some time and
planning, but I will be back, with my sister by my side, and more professional approach to something which started as a hobby for both of us but now has become more than that, and a future dream. We of course will honor the people who have booked shoots with us, which is a few and that we are looking forward to!

So stayed tuned, there will be one last post after this one, but it will be letting you know our new online home!

Almost there

So after nearly one whole month of not living in my own house while the renovations have been taking place, I can see the light at the end of the tunnell! This weekend will be our official 'moving back in' day, although, this week we have stayed here a few nights, which despite sleeping in the loungeroom on our matress, has been really nice.

But during the last three weeks, a lot has changed. Despite how tiny P is for her age exactly one month before her 2nd birthday, and never having any interest in climbing before, has discovered the joys of standing on chairs to open doors, and climb onto tables. But the most shocking to me, was learning that she can in fact climb out of the porta-cot, which has posed quite a few problems (and laughs) while living at Mum's.

Not only that, my baby has decided that she is a grown up, and with no interference, help or prompting from anyone, decided that she is in fact, potty trained! She honestly just woke up one day, told me to take her nappy off so she could use the potty and voila, she's been doing it ever since!

*So hopefully within the week, will be back online! Have a few shoots booked that I am really looking forward, I also have a few spaces left in the next 2 months if anyone is interested in booking a shoot.

Missing In Action!

It has been a while since I posted, things have been very hectic at my place with our renovations well under way. I am currently living with my Mum, who doesn't have Internet access let alone a computer, hence the severe lack of posts! My house is full of dust, new cupboards and brand new floor boards, but also rooms full of boxes and lots of mess!

Any who, hopefully I will be back on deck in a couple of weeks, in the meantime though, head over to the super wonderful Meaghan Cook's Blog to see some of the wonderful photos she took of us over the weekend. The shoot was a wonderful engagement present from my Mum, Sister and Brother In-law, I can't wait to see all of them!!

Have a great day x
